LACLEDE COUNTY, Missouri- David Millsap, Sheriff of Laclede County, says enforcement by LANEG resulted in the following following drug seizures and arrests for the previous quarter (July 1, 2017 – September 30, 2017):
Methamphetamine — 127.45 grams
Hydroponic Marijuana — 784 grams
Marijuana — 1,107.75 grams
Indoor/Outdoor Marijuana grows — 6
Heroin — 1.4 grams
LSD — 34 grams
Ecstasy — 1 gram
Synthetic drugs — 8 grams
THC wax — 3.5 grams
Prescription drugs/pills — 259 doses
During the previous quarter (listed above), LANEG also disassembled two (2) methamphetamine drug laboratory, one (1) Butane Hash Oil (BHO) laboratory, served twenty-two (22) search warrants, conducted fifteen (15) consent searches, seized sixteen (16) firearms, and arrested thirty-nine (39) individuals on one hundred and thirty-two (132) drug related charges. In addition, LANEG made two (2) Felon in Possession of Firearm, eight (8) Endangering the Welfare of a child, three (3) Possession of Stolen Property and eleven (11) warrant arrest, these non-drug related charges include but are not limited to the above thirty-nine (39) individuals.

The Lake Area Narcotics Enforcement Group (LANEG) is a multi-jurisdictional drug task force which serves Camden, Crawford, Gasconade, Laclede, and Maries Counties. Additionally, the task force serves the cities of Lebanon, Osage Beach, Camdenton, Cuba, Steelville, Leasburg, and Belle. The task force encompasses five counties with an approximate population of 142,000 residents. LANEG employs five (5) Task Force Officers and is coordinated by the Missouri State Highway Patrol, who supplies one (1) Trooper to the task force. LANEG focuses its efforts on drug enforcement by conducting both covert and overt narcotics investigations in the counties and cities they serve.
