LACLEDE COUNRT, Missouri- Sheriff David Millsap said today in a press release that deputies arrested Charles Miller, 22, of Lebanon on April 21, 2018 on a bond violation, as well as two counts of Tampering with a Motor Vehicle. Since his arrest the Sheriff’s Office has forwarded four probable cause statements to the Laclede County Prosecutor’s Office for the theft of three other vehicles, theft of motor fuel and the theft of firearms. “We are continuing to work other cases we believe Miller has been involved in and I anticipate we will be forwarding Probable Cause Statements to the Prosecutor’s Office on those cases in the near future, “ said Sheriff David Millsap.

Miller’s crime spree may have included at least 20 incidents in the later part of March and April. “He was involved in multiple thefts of vehicles, the vehicles stolen in Laclede County have been recovered. The Sheriff’s Office also recovered a vehicle out of Pulaski County, and one stolen out of Texas County we believe is linked to Miller. He may have been involved in thefts in Wright and Webster County as well,” Millsap said. The Sheriff added, “There may be other people charged in some of the thefts that Miller is linked to.” Miller is being held in the Laclede County Detention Center with no bond.
