LEBANON, Missouri- On Wednesday, the Lebanon Police Department says that a shotgun was confiscated during an arrest for possession of marijuana.

The report says that officers conducted at traffic stop in the area of West Elm and Granite Drive, during the investigation officers smelled the odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle. The reason for conducting the stop was not provided in the report. A consent to search the vehicle was given by the driver, described as a 25 year-old black male from Lebanon. During the search, illegal substances were found the agency said.

Officers seized the drugs for evidence and a shot gun that was located in the vehicle was taken for safe keeping.

The driver was arrested and the vehicle was towed. His name was not given.
