LAKE OF THE OZARKS, Missouri- The Missouri State Highway Patrol says three boaters are dead and two others injured after a crash that possibly involved alcohol. The incident occurred at the 47.5 mile marker on the main channel.

Hayden Frazier, 22, of Overland Parks, Kansas may face 3 charges of drunken boating resulting in a fatality and negligent operation of a vessel according to the Missouri Highway Patrol. He sustained moderate injuries in the crash and was transported to Lake Regional Hospital.

Deceased are Hailey Hochanadel, 21, from Olathe, Joseph Lemark, 23, from Overland Park and Daniel Lewis, 24, from Overland Park. They were taken to Camdenton and Versialles funeral homes.

Ashley Lamb, 21, from Olathe suffered serious injuries and was transported to Mercy Hospital in Springfield by air ambulance.

The water patrol says nobody was wearing lifejackets.

The water patrol says the boat crash happened when the runabout was headed upstream and struck a rock bluff ejecting the driver and two occupants. The driver climbed back aboard and paddled to a dock across the channel. Three of the occupants were pronounced dead at the scene after Lemark’s body was recovered by a dragging operation.
