LEBANON, Missouri- In what was perennial staple for the Lebanon Office of the America Red Cross, the annual Hometown Heroes breakfast event is now under the auspices of The Lebanon Area Foundation. The date has been set for April 20, 2017 at the Cowan Civic Center.
Freshman Lebanon mayor Josh Ray has been selected as honorary chairperson for the event.
Melinda Fries, the director for the LAF says Laclede County Hometown Heroes 2017 promises to be an inspirational community event featuring video stories about friends, neighbors, and family members who perform selfless acts and make a difference in the lives of others.
Breakfast will be served to approximately 400 guests and ticket sales will be announced soon, the organization said.
Proceeds from Hometown Heroes 2017 will be returned to Laclede County through Community Cares grants offering funds to local nonprofit organizations.
