MOUNT PLEASANT, Michigan – Two people have been shot and killed on the campus of Central Michigan University, according to local news sources. The gunman, described as a 19-year-old black man, who is approximately 5 foot 9 inches tall, wearing mustard yellow jeans and a blue hoodie, remains at large.

A heavy police presence, including local, state and federal authorities, are on the campus.
Multiple students have reported via social media that shots have been fired on the campus of Central Michigan University. Students say that the university made an automated called warning students of the incident in Campbell Hall.
UPDATE 10:23 a.m.: The suspect is a 19-year-old black male who is approx. 5 foot 9 inches tall. He is wearing mustard yellow jeans and a blue hoodie. He may have taken off the blue hoodie. He is considered armed & dangerous. If you see the suspect, do not approach him. Call 911.

Michigan State Police reported that two people were shot and killed in the dorm room, according to a report from Fox 17 in Grand Rapids.
CMU police confirm two individuals were fatally shot at Campbell Hall on campus this morning. The deceased are not students and police believe the situation started from a domestic situation. There are no additional injuries; suspect is still at large: https://t.co/AxvPn3N0s0

Students posted to Twitter that they are being told to avoid the area. The shots apparently came from the fourth floor of the dorm, according to posts on Twitter. The incident was reported at about 9 a.m., Friday.
The university reported the shooter remains “at large,” according to a bulletin posted. The university told students to take shelter. If they see something suspicious, they are to call 911.
Mount Pleasant Police report the suspect is considered armed and dangerous. Police said all city buildings and schools are currently locked down and not accessible to the general public.
