LACLEDE COUNTY, Missouri- Two individuals from Lebanon were injured early Tuesday morning when a deer ran into the path of their car on East 32 about 10 miles east of the city.

The driver Melissa Villarreal, 32, was taken to Mercy Hospital in Lebanon for treatment of minor injuries. Her passenger, Anthony Cecchini, 32, was also treated for a  similar degree of injury.

The Missouri State  Highway Patrol says the single-vehicle crash happened when the westbound Suzuki Kizashi impacted a deer that had ran into the roadway.
