BRUMLEY, Missouri-  ABC17 KMIZ is reporting that two people died in a plane crash in Miller County Saturday afternoon.

MSHP said they received a call around 3:30 p.m. about a small aircraft crash near Lee C. Fine Airport in Miller County. MSHP troopers, Miller County Sheriff’s deputies, Osage Beach officers and other surrounding emergency responders went to the area and found a Beechcraft single-engine airplane down in a wooded area.

Bruce Hensler, 56, and Sarah M. Hensler, 30, both of New Britain, Pennsylvania were pronounced dead at the scene by the Miller County Coroner. Investigators believe Bruce Hensler was the pilot, according to the report.

Online records show that Hensler is a certified commercial pilot and a 1968 Piper PA-28-140 is registered to his name. The plane that crashed was a 1978 Beech C23. Records show the registration was pending from Nevada.

The cause of the crash has not been determined but an investigation is ongoing.
