CONWAY, Missouri- The Conway Volunteer Fire Department says they assisted in the rescue of a man and woman who were trapped in flood waters early this morning.
At 04:15 A.M Conway fire crews were dispatched to the Kilburn Bridge on Kilburn Bridge Road for a report of a pickup in flood waters with two occupants, they said. The department explains crews arrived on scene and requested additional resources for a confirmed water rescue.
Missouri State Highway Patrol Toop D responded with a boat and personnel and were able to rescue a man and a woman from the roof of the truck.
“We can not stress the importance of not driving through flood waters and to be aware of the risks associated with flash flooding,” the agency said in a release.
