LACLEDE COUNTY, Missouri- A Waynesville, Missouri man was killed in a three vehicle-involved crash early Saturday morning on I-44 according to the Missouri Highway Patrol. The wreck happened at Mile Marker 134.
Jarrett Crowley, 37, was pronounced deceased by Laclede County Coroner Steve Murrell. He was taken to Holman-Howe Funeral Home. The report says he wasn’t wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash.
Troopers say the collision occurred when a semi driven by an Indiana man was attempting to pass another tractor- trailer. Crowley was allegedly travelling the wrong way in the eastbound lane on the interstate and struck the semi head-on, the truck then traveled off the roadway. The other tractor trailer was struck by debris from the crash.
The patrol says they were assisted in the crash investigation by the Laclede County Sheriff’s Office and were called to the scene at 1:27 a.m.
