“There are between 300-450 children that register each season for soccer and out of those kids some will forever hold a special place in my heart. It is with great sadness that I make this post. I am asking for you to please keep the family of Lucas Shertz in your thoughts and prayers. This boy had such a sweet, funny and outgoing personality. He had a smile that was contagious. Fly high sweet child and enjoy endless days of soccer,” the West Plains Soccer Association said in a Facebook post.
