LEBANON, Missouri- On Friday, Lebanon police responded to Mercy Hospital Lebanon for a report of a female patient
declining medical treatment and refusing to leave the facility.
The woman is a 27 year-old from Grovespring, according to police.
The responding officer said in the report they had previously dealt with the suspect on Thursday when she refused to leave that property. During that incident, she was given a ride to Mercy Hospital when she requested treatment.
The woman was found laying in a hospital bed covered with a blanket. The officer asked her if she knew she was trespassing and she responded that she had been informed of that and “just wanted to sleep.”
The officer told her she could either grab her belongings and be escorted out or she would be placed under arrest. She reportedly ignored the officer.
The woman was then placed under arrest with the assistance of hospital security but began screaming and dragging her feet on the way out, the officer stated.
The woman was then I transported to the Lebanon Police Department and booked her in for trespassing. The suspect was issued
a summons to appear in Lebanon Municipal Court on 12/14/2017 for trespassing, police say.
Police say while booking the subject it appeared she was mentally unstable, and she was transported back to Mercy and placed on a 96-hour mental commitment.
