LEBANON, Missouri- Lebanon police say a man was arrested Friday after a woman complained he shouted obscenities at her and then followed her.

In a report a Lebanon police officer said he was called to South Washington about 2:30 p.m. where he  spoke to the victim, a 26 year-old woman from Lebanon. She told him that while visiting friends  there was a white male walking down the street shouting obscenities at them. She told police that the male suspect, age 42 from Lebanon, followed her into the backyard and as she walked towards the alley to go to the bathroom, the suspect continued to follow her.

The victim said that at one point the suspect grabbed her between her legs, so she ran towards the house, upstairs and told her friend what had happened. The suspect followed her to the apartment entry way the report said.

Lebanon officers completed a signed complaint for the victim along with a probable cause statement to be forwarded to the prosecuting attorney’s office for review. The suspect was booked photographed.

The incident is being investigated as disturbing the peace.
