Lake of the Ozarks is a reservoir that was created by impounding the Osage River in the northern part of the Ozarks in central Missouri. Parts of three smaller tributaries to the Osage are included in the impoundment: the Niangua River, Grandglaize Creek, and Gravois Creek.
From fishing to watersports, the Lake has served as one of Missouri’s top tourist destinations for years — and it’s easy to see why. Take in the great outdoors however you wish — whether it’s reeling in a few bass or simply relaxing in a tube. There’s no shortage of ways to enjoy your day on the Lake.
