Latin music icon Marc Anthony has joined the star-studded lineup of team owners for the E1 electric race boat championship. The E1 is the first electric raceboat championship sanctioned by the Union Internationale Motonautique (UIM), the world governing body of powerboating, and promotes a racing series powered solely by electric, and based on clean technologies to protect our waters and coastal areas.

The Missouri State Lady Bears (20-7, 14-4 MVC) are set to face the UIC Flames (16-13, 9-9 MVC) on Thursday, March 7, at 7:00 p.m. CT in Chicago. The Lady Bears are looking to secure their first road win in series history against the Flames, having lost both previous road games in 1983 and 1984.

Led by point guard Lacy Stokes, who has earned MVC Newcomer of the Week honors eight times this season, the Lady Bears have won three consecutive games in the series against the Flames. Stokes averages 19.0 points, 5.0 assists, and 5.0 steals per game while shooting .733 from the field and .750 from the free-throw line.

The Lady Bears have been dominant defensively this season, ranking second in the Valley in scoring defense, allowing just 63.0 points per game. They also lead the MVC in rebounding defense, allowing just 30.2 boards per game, and boast a rebounding margin of +6.1, trailing only first-place Drake.
